The Sandy Springs real estate market offers a unique blend of city life and nature at the heart of metro Atlanta in northern Fulton County. It's one of the newest municipalities, only officially gaining independence in 2005. The community still feels very new, with lots of development underway and a population of approximately 108,000 residents. Sandy Springs's history began with the Native Americans who frequented the area because of its natural springs, for which the city got its name. Today, you can see the original "sandy spring" in person at the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum

Residing north of Atlanta, parts of Sandy Springs straddle the perimeter, with most attractions along the edges of town, such as Perimeter Center. Shared with neighboring Dunwoody, Perimeter Center is a popular neighborhood and destination with high-rise offices, lots of businesses, and shops. Sandy Springs doesn't have a traditional city center. Instead, you'll find a lush community park at the center of town flanked by a small business district. The primary downtown area is at City Springs, a modern city center offering a thriving place to dine, shop, and play.
